In this beginner class, you'll learn the basics of on-camera acting with NYC actress and Coach Lorrie Odom.
You will focus on specific techniques for on-camera acting through exercises in observation, listening, imagination, and improvisation.
You will learn:
- How to break down and analyze a script
- Eye-lines and where to look during your scene
- How to work with (and work off) a reader
- Audition Technique and how to calm your nerves
- How to Create, Develop, and Portray BELIEVABLE characters

For this class, Lorrie will select sides for you to prepare based on your headshot and fully completed MY INFO section in your AC account. Assignments will be emailed at least 24 hours in advance.
IN ADDITION: Please bring TWO HARD COPIES of your scene - one highlighted FOR THE READER

The room will be open 30 minutes before the event is scheduled to start. Please arrive at least 10 MINUTES before your event begins as your host will give important information about the event at this time.
School Notes:
Class end time will vary depending on the number of actors and the scenes that are assigned. Registrants are advised to budget extra time, as class time may run over.
