Description

 Explore the possibilities of commercial glazes through experimentation with different frits, minerals, and glaze additives. Together, we will investigate how materials such as rutile, copper, feldspars, and frits can transform a glazes color, surface, texture, and movement. We will also experiment with materials and adjustments that can make a glaze more fluid, gloopy, matte, or runny, learning how small changes in a glaze recipe can create dramatically different results. Students will leave with a collection of experimental glaze samples and a fundamental understanding of how to alter and customize commercial glazes. 

Suggestion: If you decide to bring your own glaze we recommend bringing a white base. Cone 04-10 are welcome.

In any event where a customer wants to cancel their enrollment and is eligible for a full refund, a 5% processing fee will be deducted from the refund amount.
