Enjoy painting botanical illustration in the super easy to learn and forgiving medium of gouache, also known as opaque watercolor.
This class is designed for both inexperienced students and those who wish to improve their skills. We will cover basic as well as more advance gouache techniques to paint a beautiful flower in a style I like to call "soft realism"
In this class, you'll learn how to transfer a drawing, how to prepare the paper, how to mix colors from the primaries, how to add beautiful backgrounds to complement your floral subjects, how to add line work with pen and ink, as well as how to layer to develop depth and brilliance, and add details to make your painting "pop"
