Class Description

Description

This practical, hands-on workshop teaches you how to work with and control both daylight and artificial lighting sources, including daylight-balanced and tungsten-balanced equipment. Participants will gain essential skills in evaluating light quality, determining light direction, using light meters accurately, and comparing the effects of different light-shaping accessories.

Hands-On Training with Professional Models:

Using a single-light setup, you will observe how various light-shaping tools and accessories modify the appearance and character of light. This experiential learning prepares you to shape and control light effectively in your own work. The workshop includes live portrait sessions with professional models, providing direct practice in experimenting with multiple lighting arrangements and developing proficiency in producing professional-caliber images.

Comprehensive Light Mastery:

The structured curriculum covers understanding sound theory in audio and visual contexts, measuring light qualities, and applying knowledge to real-world shooting scenarios. You have the option to combine this workshop with Flash Essentials for an even more thorough lighting education that encompasses both continuous and strobe lighting techniques.
