The Art of Botanical Perfumery

In this hands-on class with natural perfumer, artist and herbalist Irina Adam of Phoenix Botanicals we’ll explore the beautiful art of botanical perfumery and create our own custom blends. We will learn about botanical materials such as absolutes, essential oils and resins and how to blend with them. We will be using only the highest quality essential oils and absolutes, organic and wildcrafted when possible, handpicked from around the world. The material covered will include how to create perfumes that transform beautifully on the skin; our own versions of classical perfume recipes, botanical and solid perfumes; and scented body oils, room sprays, etc. We’ll create products we can take home after each class.

Note: A $60 materials fee is to be paid to instructor for handouts, three 5 ml perfumes blended in class, one 1/4 oz. solid perfume, 1/2 oz. body oil, 1/2 oz. room spray, and more; plus pipettes, organic oils, alcohols, essential oils and absolutes.
