This Class IV asbestos operations training meets EPA requirements outlined in 40 CFR 763.92 (a)(1) for maintenance and custodial personnel in local education agencies. This includes custodians, electricians, HVAC technicians, plumbers, and other staff who may encounter asbestos in their work environments.
All employees who may work in buildings containing asbestos-containing building materials must receive a minimum of two hours of awareness training. This requirement applies whether or not employees directly handle ACBM materials. The course provides essential information about thermal system insulation, surfacing asbestos materials, and other ACM or potentially asbestos-containing materials where asbestos presence has not yet been definitively confirmed.
