Enjoy gaining a solid foundation in understanding the structure and solidity of the human head. MFA and CFA Faculty member Manu Saluja will guide you through proportion, color theory and mixing flesh tones as you create a portrait in your home studio. Portrait reference is provided to you in digital format. Clear instruction is given through YouTube demonstrations, weekly lectures and small group critiques via Zoom. Students can opt to draw.
Manu Saluja was the recent recipient of the prestigious National Portrait Gallery's BP Travel Award as part of the Portrait Award Exhibition.
This course is available for "remote" learning and will be available to anyone with access to an internet device with a microphone (this includes most models of computers, tablets). Classes will take place with a "Live" instructor at the date/times listed below.
