Class Description

Description

Recent survey data shows that 40 percent of WPS clients use Nikon cameras (followed by Canon at 32 percent), so we've organized this specialized training session for any Nikon camera user seeking professional guidance. Whether you shoot with a Nikon Coolpix point-and-shoot, a D3100, D3300, or D5500 DSLR, a D7000 series camera, a full-frame D610, D750, or D780, or one of the newer mirrorless Z6 or Z7 cameras with their latest lens systems, bring your camera and questions.

Conducted on Zoom by Washington Photo Safari Director and experienced Nikon user E. David Luria, this special safari will help you master all the features and settings on your camera's menu. Don't understand ISO settings? We'll demystify them. Confused about navigating the white balance color chart? We'll show you how. Most Nikon digital cameras include six major menu sections: Playback, Photo Shooting, Movie Shooting, Custom Setting, Setup, and Retouch. We'll guide you through each of these menu groups and their capabilities.

Discover advanced features you may not have known existed, such as Multiple Exposures that let you capture 2, 3, or 4 exposures on the same frame, or how to set custom Kelvin temperatures for precise color accuracy. We'll demystify the 52-point autofocus system, show you how to transmit images from your camera to your phone, and help you understand what features you're missing if you're considering upgrading to a higher-level Nikon. Mr. Luria will also recommend which lenses, whether Nikon or other brands, work best for your particular photography interests and will provide guidance on where to purchase quality used equipment and how to sell your current camera bodies and lenses.
