In this comprehensive course, you will explore how professional interior designers select and integrate rugs to enhance and transform interior spaces. You will learn strategies for customizing rugs to create distinctive, personalized interiors that reflect your individual style and vision. The course examines every dimension of carpets and rugs, including fiber content and composition, foundational construction, manufacturing processes, and proper installation methods. You will develop proficiency in proportion and scale, gaining practical guidelines for determining appropriate rug sizes for various rooms and spatial configurations. Additionally, the course addresses practical considerations such as budgeting for quality rugs and implementing effective maintenance strategies to preserve carpet and rug integrity over time.
This course is available for "remote" learning and will be available to anyone with access to an internet device with a microphone (this includes most models of computers, tablets). Classes will take place with a "Live" instructor at the date/times listed below.
