The Gigamon Foundation I course is the first building block in learning how to implement and configure GigaVUE® platforms in your organization. Through comprehensive discussions, real-world use cases and practical hands-on labs, this course covers the foundational skills needed by security and network teams to understand how to initially configure Gigamon appliances and features. The course will help you accelerate deployment and the expected ROI for solutions that incorporate the Gigamon Visibility and Analytics Fabric.

Outline: Gigamon Foundations I: Insight into Network Data Across Your Network (GFD1)
This 2-day course includes instruction time, hands-on labs and several discrete and sequential modules that walk you through the materials covered:
Module 1: Gigamon Solution Overview
Module 2: Solution Identification and Planning
Module 3: Gigamon Solution Installation and Initial Configuration
Module 4: The Principles of Flow Mapping®
Module 5: Understanding Traffic Sources
Module 6: Sizing a Visibility Deployment
Module 7: Configuring Clustering
This course is available for "remote" learning and will be available to anyone with access to an internet device with a microphone (this includes most models of computers, tablets). Classes will take place with a "Live" instructor at the date/times listed below.
Upon registration, the instructor will send along additional information about how to log-on and participate in the class.
Cancellation Policy:
Public Classes
All requests to cancel a registration must be in writing via e-mail to [email protected]
Cisco Data Center or Cisco Cloud Courses
All requests to cancel a Cisco Data Center or Cisco Cloud class reservation must be made via e-mail.
Partner-Delivered Classes
For Partner-delivered courses, if a reservation is canceled or rescheduled fewer than 16 business days before the class start date, the entire original course fee will be forfeited. An additional course fee will be required for the new reservation.
*The school, or one of its Partners, reserves the right to cancel a course for any reason and without penalty more than ten (10) business days before the start of the class.

* You are allowed two (2) reschedules. After a second reschedule, the entire original course fee will be forfeited, and an additional course fee will be required for a new registration.
No Shows:
Failure to attend without prior written notice to the start date of the course will be considered a "no show" and will result in forfeiture of the full course price including NetApp courses paid for with NetApp Training Units. Under these conditions, the school, at its own discretion may allow you to re-sit another session of the same or lower priced course.
In any event where a customer wants to cancel their enrollment and is eligible for a full refund, a 5% processing fee will be deducted from the refund amount.
