Description

This class covers the fundamentals of screen printing. You will learn to use screen printing equipment and tools (mesh, inks, squeegee, and stencil materials) You will learn the process of preparing your artwork for screens, and screen printing techniques. You may print on different substrates. All supplies are provided however you may bring additional substrate:paper, fabric, canvas. We will learn different ways to create your own art. All lab safety rules must be followed, no sandals-please wear closed toed shoes.

Day One: Printing a limited edition on paper using multi-colors
Day Two: Printing your own design on fabric or paper
Day Three: Printing your high contrast photo or your hand art on your choice of substrate including canvas, paper, or fabric.

You may bring your own paintings in and add screen printing to a collage, or mixed media project.

Cancellations made at least 24 hours in advance of the class will be honored with a full refund. Students who cancel less than 24 hours prior to the start time of the class will receive a credit towards a future class.
