  • The instructors were very helpful and knowledgeable. I will take another class with them.
  • Due to the Governor's Stay at Home order, Design KOUS held this workshop through FaceTime and Zoom. I may have been the only person that didn't want to reschedule the workshop, and I'm glad I didn't. Design KOUS provided me with the materials days before our remote workshop. My instructor, Aspacia, was informative on the history of copperplate and provided good instruction. We were able to go at my pace and Aspacia took the time to see my work and my progress, and to provide me with feedback. I highly recommend the workshop by Design KOUS and, if they teach other calligraphy workshops, I will take another workshop with them again in the future.
  • Very informative. Learned so much & had a great time. Instructor Kevin is knowledgeable & friendly. Would highly recommend. Thanks for a great two days!

  • The class was awesome! Aspacia Kusulas is a great teacher who knows her craft. While I wasn't expecting to learn Copperplate (this info should be included in course description), I still enjoyed the class and truly appreciated learning something new. The class and entire day was very well organized. Rachel Elnar (you are amazing!) took excellent care of everyone insuring we all had paper and ink to coffee and tea. It felt like I was working at home. The group size was just right and allowed for good interaction with the instructor. Great course for beginners and anyone interested in calligraphy. My only disappointment was that time flew by too quickly. There was so much more I wanted to learn. I will be signing up for another class.
  • What I really liked about the class is that the teacher teaches it very well intricately detail by detail makes it fun it was very exciting instructive and I got what I wanted from the class I recommend it to anybody that would like to take Calligraphy classes. :)

  • Moku Hanga

Artist and instructor Joseph Vorgity provided us with a wonderful experience. He spent time on process, tools, history of moku hanga, and was generous in sharing his works and details of his artistic career, all of which combined to give us an understanding of moku hanga. I'm a beginner, and all skill levels were welcome and supported. The studio was well-supplied and comfortable to work in. As with all my print making courses, I met some really neat people and learned a new technique. I eagerly await the next workshop at Josephine Press!
