  • Encaustic (Wax) Painting

As an artist who works with a lot of different materials, it was awesome to be able to explore a new medium that allows for quick drying and lots of exploration into texture shape and drippage. Aaron was a great workshop leader. He was very attentive and in tune with when I wanted guidance and when I wanted some freedom and independence. Highly recommend.

  • Encaustic Painting – The Basics and Beyond

The class was exactly what I was hoping for. The teacher Debra Winiarski, who is brilliant, was a kind and encouraging instructor. She was always available for questions and quick help as our projects were progressing. The supplies included in this class were amazing. The course description said $35.00 of supplies were included but it felt like more than that. A whole new world of encaustic art has been opened to me and I am thrilled. Also, the venue, the art student league of New York is located in a historical building that just screams creativity past and present. It’s located in a beautiful part of nyc and was a pleasure getting around. One last thought, the other students were great, every one of them was encouraging and generous and happy to be there. All in all, it was a very positive experience and I look forward to taking more classes.
  • This class was a great introduction to encaustic paintings for someone who knows very little about the topic. The class is spit into instructional and hands on portions (the whole evening went by quickly!). Participants leave with one or two panels, depending on how much time you want to spend exploring different methods. The instructor was friendly, knowledgeable, and helpful. I would recommend this class to anyone.
