For young film lovers, this class introduces various techniques of stop motion animation, including claymation, pixilation, and paper cut-out. Students will create abstract, narrative, and experimental films using iMac computers, IPEVO cameras, iStopMotion software, and a wide variety of tools and materials. Inspired by animated films such as Wallace and Gromit, Chicken Run, and The Nightmare Before Christmas, students will have the opportunity to collaborate on character building, set design, and story development. They will work collaboratively on a series of short vignettes highlighting the different techniques learned over the course of the semester. This class is great for all levels of animators.
Drop Off occurs between 3:30 and 4:00 PM with supervised play until class begins at 4:00 PM.
