Full-day Make It Camp
This course was so much fun, my daughter loved it. They made so many things and had a finale fashion show wearing all of their gear. Highly recommended. -
Make It Camp: DIY Room Decor
The instructor, Lara Kazan, has a background in fashion design and does an amazing job of teaching the kids how to use an actual sewing machine (there is some hand sewing, but my daughter made 5 or so pieces in a week on the sewing machine) as well as how to make a variety of different things out of different materials. I love that a lot of upcycling and custom pattern making was taking place and each piece was unique and well-considered and not a cookie-cutter project. My daughter still uses a fanny pack she made here daily. At pick up time all of the kids seemed to be having too much fun to want to leave and I felt like I had stepped into a real fashion studio with people buzzing around, draping fabric on each other and working the machines. The kids really seemed to be into it! We look forward to spending more time here this summer. -
Make It Camp: DIY Room Decor
My daughter has some experience with sewing from various classes but the projects were always too simple or not practical. Lara's Make it class was the perfect balance between learning how to actually sew and making something that my daughter could actually wear and be proud of (jean purse...amazing). Lara's relaxed style, yet patient teaching directive, made the three hours fly by. She allows the kids to create and enjoy the process but is also realistic and knows they want to walk away with a finished product. Not only does my daughter wear the purse she made but has offered to sew torn pillow cases, and other things to keep up her sewing skills. It was a delight taking this class with Lara and I would highly recommend her! -
Make It Camp: DIY Room Decor
I've had my girls attend two of Make It Studio's workshops and they had a blast! They made these adorable Sock bunnies during the Easter PEEP making workshop, and fantastic earrings out of pom poms, sequins, and beads at the last one we went to. It was great to see them being creative and making substantial things. Lara, the owner/instructor is so great with the kids and her background as a designer in the fashion industry definitely shows through. -

Really great local art studio for the whole family- my daughter LOVES her art class and camps here, and my husband and I have enjoyed a fun date night at a couple's painting class. They've even helped me touch up a painting from my living room! Everyone who works here is so friendly and enthusiastic, and we are so grateful to have found this awesome place! -

Our 6.5 year old son participates in art classes at The Art Studio every Monday. He pretty much talks about the class the entire week, anticipating what the next project will be! The instructors are amazingly talented; not just with their artistic abilities, but also with the students. It is one of the ONLY classes we are re-registering for in the winter session, which says a lot considering how many options we have as New Yorkers. Thanks for providing our budding artist with a safe, fun and very kid-friendly experience! -

Creatively Wild Art has incredible teachers who nurture the kids skills as an artist as being a good person. I absolutely adore Creatively Wild because I feel like my kids get an authentic art studio experience with outdoor time at the foot of the spectacular Brooklyn Bridge Park! DM, Murphy and the outstanding team at CW are so respectful of the little Picassos who come through the door - I have been blown away by the volume and quality of REAL art projects that the kids have come home with! This is THE place to go for intercession camps, summer camps - they are super flexible as well! DM also has a real talent for hiring teaching artists who get young kids and have a real respect and reverence for budding artists! Bravo - take a BOW Creatively Wild! -

I've now sent my 7 year old son to several half- and full-day camp sessions and my 2.5 year old daughter to weekly classes, and I cannot say enough about DM and her wonderful program and staff. My children have tons of fun and feel perfectly at home in the Creatively Wild studio, and the artwork they bring home is truly impressive. The teachers provide a little bit of guidance but it is clear from the pride on the kids' faces that they have put time, hard work and heart into their creations. Highly recommend. -

Let's Get Creatively Wild Summer Camp is an amazing, unrivaled experience for children who already love and practice art and those who want to learn techniques and work in multiple mediums. As a mother and a former art student (I was fortunate to have intensive art education from early childhood until college, where I minored in studio art and art history) I can attest to the expert instruction and true aesthetic appreciation provided by founder DM Wilding, Jane Brody and the other incredible professional artist-teachers. They possess the unique skill of recognizing each child's individual talent and potential while providing a fun group adventure that builds social as well as artistic skills. This is not like typical classes offered for children. They offer drop-off sessions for camp as well as a variety of classes throughout the year. You owe it to your child to develop her or his artistic personality. You will be impressed by the works your child brings home. We're talking gallery quality. -

My 10 year old daughter and I took a group oil painting class with Sheri. We had never painted before. WOW! The proof is in the paintings. Not only is Sheri an amazing instructor but a role model for your child. We can't wait to start the next session. HIGHLY RECOMMEND it for any age. -

I'm taking my 2.5 year old daughter to Mommy and Me classes in 7 Fine Arts and I couldn't be happier with Sheri's gentle, fun and creative approach to teach my daughter to paint and make her express herself through colors. Her classes are very relaxing and enlightening at the same time. It's a joy everytime. Highly recommended!
