Students will learn about the tradition of sequential art used in American comics, manga, and contemporary graphic novels while exploring techniques in cartoon and perspective drawing, character design, cover art, and storyboarding.
Throughout the week, artists will work towards completing a chapter in their very own graphic novel. This unique, interactive class is perfect for those new to the art of the graphic novel, as well as those familiar with the process.
At the end of the week, copies of students’ graphic novels will be available online, as well as print-to-order. Friends and family will be invited to a “show-and-tell” to celebrate the artwork created during the week.

Health Forms
- All students are required to have a CMA Health Form on file to protect the wellness and safety of each child and their classmates. The first page must be completed and signed by a parent or guardian. General health records may be attached in place of the second page. CMA Health Forms are good for one year. Please submit all health forms two week prior to the start of class.
